Horseback Riding

Can you believe I get paid for doing this? As Youth Activities Director at a local church, I enjoy all the benefits of the activities I design for the kids, from canoeing to skiing. Of course, sometimes it’s the breaks, too, like when I fell and sprained my wrist rollerskating last winter.

Robert Emory Hutton’s Death Certificate

Here is the death certificate of Robert Emery Hutton, featured in a previous post with his future wife, Annie Carpenter.
He was tragically killed by a bolt of lightning while hauling a sled full of grain across the hill to the barn. The horse he was riding and one of his team of horses died with him.

The picture with the story below reminds me of this picture of my great-grandfather Robert Emory Hutton and his bride-to-be Anna Laurie Carpenter Hutton in their courting days. They kept the horse, Old John, until he died. (Rev. 7-28-06)
Just think, what if someone tried to take their land like the Nazi’s did the Jew’s land–or the people who are still trying to wipe the nation of Israel off the planet. We’ve been blessed in America. We need to support God’s chosen people.
